South Carolina Concealed Weapons Training and Open Carry
The South Carolina concealed weapons training course offered by USF Training is more than a qualification demonstration and overview of the laws governing concealed carry in the state of South Carolina, it is an in depth look into handgun handling, mechanics, fundamentals, and most importantly SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY.
Class Room Test and Range Qualification
South Carolina concealed weapons training required 50 question examination will take place to confirm competency and a 50 round qualification course will confirm proficiency. The qualification will consist of several sequences of fire from various yardages up to 15 yards.

SLED SECURITY OFFICER CERTIFICATION
SLED Certified Security Training is broken in to 2 classes. ~ 4 hour class called “PRIMARY BASIC” to be Certified as an Unarmed Security Officer. ~ 4 hour class called “PRIMARY PLUS” to become a SLED Certified Unarmed Security Officer.
Primary Basic
- 4 hour class called “Primary Basic” to be Certified as an Unarmed Security Officer.
- Once you take the class, all your information is sent to SLED by the company who will be hiring you.
- Sled will determine upon your “Background Information” if you meet the standards
- Having your CWP has nothing to do with SLED Security.
- Cost of this class is $100
Primary Plus
- 4 hour class called “Primary Plus” to become a SLED Certified Unarmed Security Officer
- SLED Certified Unarmed Security Officer has Arrest Powers same as Police on the property of contract.
- Cost of this class is $

Weapons Portion
This class will be conducted at a Range.
- You will need a hand gun
- 50 rounds of Ammo

- Hearing protection
- Holster for your hand gun
Cost of this class will be $50 and $30 range fee.
Fox OC Training
Class for SLED Certified Officers and Law Enforcement
- 4 hour class
- Once you take the class, You are certified to carry OC if your security company allows you.
- Cost of this class is $60
Fox Labs
- Class is certified by FOX Labs
- Your certified to carry FOX OC
- A minimum of 5 students in a class
- Go to "Online Payments" page and pay fee.
- You will learn the history of Chemical Munitions
- Operation and use of OC
